Voice-Note & Call-Recording Transcription

Speak it once, and it's text everywhere it needs to be.

On-trigger

What was getting in the way.

Team members think out loud: voice notes in chat, recorded discovery calls, drive-time braindumps. That audio was write-only: nobody transcribed it, so instructions got half-remembered and recordings were never mined for detail. Discovery-call recordings in particular held client wording that never reached the people building the deliverables.

Context

Internal team workflow; also applied to recorded client discovery calls.

How the work runs.

  1. 01

    Trigger

a voice note arrives in chat, or a workflow (e.g., the pre-kickoff pipeline, Entry #19) encounters a call recording.

  2. 02

    Agent sends the audio to

Agent sends the audio to a speech-to-text API (Whisper-class model).

  3. 03

    Transcript comes back in seconds

Transcript comes back in seconds; the agent treats it as the message and acts on the instruction, or files it with the client's call records.

  4. 04

    Outcome

audio becomes searchable text feeding the same records and workflows as typed input.

Evidence from the workflow.

Illustrative mock of a voice-note or call recording transcribed and filed into structured call notes, action items, and follow-ups (illustrative example: names and details are fictional)

Each system has a role.

  • Intake

    Team chat (voice notes)

  • Action

    Speech-to-text API

  • Record of truth

    Client project records

Why this is Copilot.

Helps a person work faster. You ask, it answers. All actions belong to a human.

Impact / Outcomes

Voice notes are first-class instructions: the agent executes them the same as typed messages.

Discovery/kickoff recordings feed downstream builds (see Entry #19) instead of sitting unheard.
